Just wanting to know how the mountains looking I have a two day permit for June and was wondering if the snowpack is still going to be pretty bad?

Totally depends on storms and how quickly/high temperatures rise. Should still be some snow up at higher altitudes, but not horrible. Hopefully the 99 switchbacks will clear up in time for you because the snow field will most likely be melting out by then.

Over the course of the next month I would jump into the "2024" forum to keep updated on conditions. Also keep an eye on the webcams. You can watch Thor Peak to judge the snow melt. Hope this helps!

We use a rough guess that as spring hits we see the snow clear about 500' elevation a week , now we are about 9500' in the opoen areas south facing much higher(webcam shows dry very high on south facing slopes).

Snow can hold in the shadows and north facing longer this is the problem with the cable area it is a north facing area . and a natural seep so holds snow longer and the seep creates ice many nights.
