As I drove through Lone Pine today southbound on the 395 at 5pm the Mt Whitney summit was shrouded in what appeared to be a fair amount of smoke from a fire. Got home minutes ago sure I would find discussion on the board but no one has posted anything. Looking at the webcam picture on the WPB, the smoke is obvious. Does anyone know what's going on? I am due back for my annual day hike next week and am concerned. Thanks everyone.
