Just came home from another trip to Whitney. I think we left right ahead of the smoke. We did have a visit from Mr.Black Bear my crew have named him Cartman for stealing one of our campers tub of Cheesy puffs. Cartman came back about three more times never getting closer than 10 feet or so. I did come across a first after 30 years of coming to Whitney. A Deer came right inside our spot #44 chilled for a couple of minutes then walked off. Overall the new camper we brought up got a heck of a first trip. Counting the days till next year. Had a great burger at the Portal store and always the staff was top notch they make you want to stay there forever.
