It was a beautiful day hiking last Sunday, September 12, 2010. We were going at a slow pace and I was able to enjoy the scenery more than the two other times we hiked up. The last photo I took was on trail crest at approximately 4:00 pm, later than we planned to be there, but we were almost to the rock house. I realized my camera case with camera slipped off my back pack belt about a quarter mile to the summit.
My camera is a Panasonic, digital - Lumix LX1 The camera case is all black. If you know any information about a camera found on the summit last Sunday in the later afternoon, please let me know! Thank you very much.

Yesterday I saw a small note taped to the metal sign at the jct with the spur trail to the JMT. IIRC, the note said the camera would be at the Portal Store - have you checked with Doug? I believe the note was date Sept 12.

As a quick note.... on Sept. 11 I passed a couple taping a note to that same sign about a lost camera. Good luck!

Thank you! I will check with Doug. I did leave information at the hostel, but you never know. Thanks again!

I think I sent something to the moderator by mistake.

Still no Panasonic Lumix Camera reported found.

There is a canon camera waiting to be claimed though at the Interagency Visitor Center in Lone Pine. 760.876.6234 is their number.

Still hoping for good karma and the return of the Lumix.

Good hiking everyone!
