Larry and I are going up this Saturday but I think I will leave the crampons at home - it's about 85 degrees at my house right now!

So you're climbing the wall of your cubicle shocked that's dangerous!

What time do you guess we will get back down to the parking lot? This will be my first group climb smile

Just got back from a GREAT trip to Mexico's Volcanoes. We shared the summit of Orizaba with Richard and Rick. Photos are uploading today. The gallery is far from complete but here's a link: Mexico's Volcanoes November 5-14, 2010. Conditions are awesome there right now... some of the best I've seen in recent memory.

We usually get back to the car sometime between 1 and 3 PM. We start early and get down early to beat the traffic so there's plenty of time to get to my slideshow at Adventure 16 in West LA that night.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the shows this week and to the hike on Friday!!

Hello everyone!
I am very much looking forward to the hike...
Is a Forest Adventure Pass required to park at the trailhead?
Thanks!
Susan.

Susan Check to see where in Silverado you can get one I know one is required at the Maple Springs trail head on Silverado road so they might sell one in the canyon where you live? The Baldy Village Center doesn't open early enough for you to get it on Friday. Worst case is you get a ticket on Friday then after the hike go down to the village and get an annual pass for $30 or the day for $5.....

Thanks Jeff!
I am a volunteer with the Cleveland, so I just wanted to make sure I followed protocol in another national forest!
You are right about the Maple Springs trailhead requirement...I volunteer at the visitor center there.
And in case anyone heads up this way, Adventure Passes are sold at our local Silverado Canyon Market.
I will pick one up there.
Thanks!
Susan.

weedpatch here, looking forward to joining in on this hike. I will be up the night before, (oh that's tonight) with whitetundra and we will be providing a minimal type "continental breakfast" for those who want to partake. Look for the white tundra. We should be ready 5:30 - 5:45.
Anybody else going up tonight? Let us know.
Also, Adventure parking passes are available at REI.

definition of minimal is: no eggs, no bacon, no cold cereal, no Starbucks, no toast, no hot coco or hard boiled eggs, just real orange juice and Costco mini-muffins.
