Cool. Maybe we can hike in the morning and give the presentation that evening. I have to wait until it gets closer because of work-load issues.

Glad you all are coming - it means a lot to me blush

I'm in for both the Nov. 19th Baldy hike and the Dec. 4th Everest presentation (confirmation in hand). I'll finally get to meet the amazing folks I currently know only by name on the message board!

Too cool! There are only 9 seats left for the presentation and there will lots of people from the two Whitney Boards. It has been suggested that people wear name tags with there board names and real name on them so we know who is who.

Looking forward to sharing my adventure with you blush

Good Idea Cindy. We did that at last year's Thor Hike PotLuck. Although if I don't shave between now and then I think everyone will be able to spot the San Gorgonian Yeti!

I've just registered so I am looking forward to putting faces with the typed notes. Name tags! Excellent idea.

This is going to be great!

I will bring blank name badges and you can pick them up at the check-in desk that night.

I contacted REI and ask them to release more seats. If you are on the waiting list you will be automaticaly added if this happens. If not, just show up and you can seat/stand in the back.

Hope to see some of you on the 6 AM hike that morning.

Happy Thanksgiving smile

Summiting for a Cure

The Cal State Fullerton newspaper released a nice post-climb

http://www.dailytitan.com/2010/11/30/summiting-for-a-cure/

Please forgive the errors. The writer meant well just doesn't know about my disease or climbing. Both take time to learn smile

Looking forward to meeting some of you on Saturday!!!

I am still at a 90% GO. If moving my son and his family on Friday goes well I will see you at Manker Flats in the AM. Here is a pretty cool Baldy site if you did not already know of it. It gives you live weather at the Notch (Similar to the Ski Hut) a webcam and road conditions.

I'm bringing a rookie tomorrow so does anyone have microspikes that can fit a 7 1/2 foot shoe? Also and extra axe? His name is Eagle and he's from our Wuxi factory in China. Shin took our coworker Carole up Baldy and told everyone in China about the infamous Mt Baldy Shin! Now everyone in Wuxi wants to meet Shin!!!! Shin Eagle's English is not as good as Carole's so I might have to translate, maybe you can give him a ride home to! LOL
