Rick Kent and I climbed Whitney four years in-a-row in December, starting on 12/17/05. I called it the "A December To Remember Climb." Several well-known WPSMB climbers joined at various times for these climbs. I tried to get RK to come along for a "retirement" climb in December 2009, but we'd both had enough by that time.

We finally pretended to be real mountaineers by doing the Mountaineer's Route on December 6-7, 2008. This was a real fiesta as we had five climbers on this trip (and were joined by a Doc from UT for much of the climb).

I did do a real winter ascent of (after Christmas) Whitney with my nephew in 2000. We walked up and down what was mostly dry, though icy in spots, trail.
