Had a great time on Saturday with a great group of people. Thanks for being patient with me the slow-poke. It would have been a bummer to miss the big proposal on the summit. Congratulations to Stacy and Curt. Doug, it was great getting to “chew the fat” with you on the way up. Thanks Jeff for putting the hike together and thank you all for including “all comers” in there excursions.

I had a feeling this Baldy Climb would be special from the beginning. This climb was centered around Cindy's special day. Cindy and Larry have become good friends and where else did I meet them but Mt Baldy! So when I heard Cindy was going to have a slide show, why not do a climb! 2 friends that rarely make these are Doug and Ron and when they both said they might show up I had a feeling it was going to be a special day! Then when I heard Richard was coming south again(rumor has it he hates LA)! Also my new friend co worker Eagle came and Shin was so helpful lending him clothes and spikes. So the stage was set for a very special day. Everyone showed up but Bob, more on that later!!
We went up our normal route nothing out of the ordinary till we hit the hut where are friend WhiteTundra to our surprise spent the night! Here some cramponed up some did not and we took off. As Eagle Doug, Ron and I were about to hit the summit we were pleasantly surprised to see the group had waited for us. It was awesome to summit at the same time with Ron and Doug. Shin was taking care of Eagle and the fun was about to begin. Stacy and Curt what a day this you'll always, always remember and we now all feel like part of your family! So if you guys really get married on Whitney need to tell us all in advance the dates so we can get our permits in! Or do it in spring, no permits required. Kurt or Ron can do the wedding and we can have Uncle Richard give Stacy away!!!! Or Doug!!!!
Now back to our friend Bob, Richard I vote we stop using my name in vain and saying someone pulled a Skully and say they pulled a JUSTBOB!!!!!
Just kiddin Bob, nice to poke at someone else, Yeti is always the one gettin poked at.....
One of the best Baldy Days Yet ya'll......I'll post pics later been lazy...

Thank-you all for letting a virgin climb along side you all. I really felt welcomed and it was great to meet those I read postings of for the last 5 years. Cindy - thank you for letting me tag along with you on the way down and for the slide show. I could never think of climbing that mountain with the exposure, let alone the other dnagerous conditions. I keep thinking of the weight of all those people on that little space on top of the mountain, with steep sides. It just isn't stable. I hope to join all of you sometime in the future. "Dont"

My pictures are up

Again it was a really nice day. I'm just hoping that Ms. Yu is found safe, and SOON. I can't stop worrying about her.

Hey Tracie,

Remember how I was planning on going down the backbone on Saturday and then I changed my mine because I thought the conditons would be unsafe?

I sure hope the missing hiker did not try it, but I would think that is one of the first places SAR would look.

Hope they will find her.
