I climbed Whitney on Sept. 17th to condition for trip to Himalayas. The day before I was in Lone Pine, saw a newer brown van with lic plate "Climbd 7", obviously a person who has done the 7 Summits. Any one know who this is? Don't see many 7 Summitters around. I think they're pretty rare.

Just curious.

I thought he did Whitney in June or July

It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great.

Thanks bob1957, but this was a California plate and the boy is from Colorado. Plus there is a "d" on the end, not straight "climbed 7."

Could it be Kurt Wedburg? Hasn't he done the 7 summits? I saw the car at the Portal too.

Could be, but I believe Kurt drives a Mustang...at least that is what he arrived in for the group Baldy hike.

Wedberg has no van and I seriously doubt he'd put something that flamboyantly cheesy on his beloved 'Stang. And yes, he's done the 7, multiple times except for his single trip up Vinson and possibly Carstenz. Headed up the Big A now for what, the 12th or 13th time?

It is a darn good thing that Kurt has opted to keep a lower profile about his accomplishments, otherwise the fans might track him down for an autograph cool

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.
