I won't use that other phrase that BMan came up with...

There seems to be a little interest in another Group Climb up the MR, so I'm putting it out there for others to respond to.

April Fool's Day Weekend (1-3) seems appropriate.

Chime in and if we get enough interest, we'll make it (UN)official.

I'll be up there anyway, so if it doesn't attract the interest that it did last year for MC, and we don't make it (UN)official, and you also happen to be up there, say hello as I pass by.

I'll try real hard to accidentally meet up with whoever may be in the vicinity of that route.

I'm interested in joining the group for the (un)official or official MR climb. I'm sure a good time will be had by all!

Richard would love to go and possibly pull a Scolly but I'll be in JT that weekend! Looks like I get to keep avoiding the MR!

Maybe we should make it MANDATORY training for the Orizaba Climb so that MC has to come down this year.

So there is going to be discussion? I thought it was one of those don't ask, don't tell, just show up sort of things.

I would love to join you folks for another weekend of April Fools hijinks. First of course I have to beg shore leave from the wife and kids. Wish me luck!

There's some dude from the really cold, middle north(?) part of the country coming out this way... He needs to have things planned (un)like me. Thus the announcement.

he's from Teabagistan, and needs to get far away from the madness just for a few weeks. Latest schedule known to his employer is March 18 through April Fool's Day weekend, due to this announcement.

I'm going to do my best- have to find a place to pawn off my 8 year old son for the weekend as the wife and daughter are doing a Girl Scout campout.

I hope I will just happen to be driving through Lone Pine that day.

Woo Hoo! Pawned the 8 year old off on the neighbors so I'm in. Got to start getting in shape now.

I'll plan on arriving at Whitney Portal Thursday afternoon. Since we're talking April 1, I presume that means hiking from the gate at the foothills.

Hi Jeff,
Hope, you don't mind if I join with this (UN)official MR hike.
I won't be able to join with you JT that weekend.I didn't finish this climb last year. I have to try it again.
I need more regular hiking experience in Mt. Whitney area according to uncle Richard.
