I played with a new toy for my camera while I was in Lone Pine - didn't quite work 100% as advertised (that lateral shift isn't supposed to happen), but the resulting Mt. Whitney images are still pretty nice - 250+ megapixels from the road near the Campground before the road closed sign: first the annotated version - correct anything that's wrong, or let me know what highlight markers I can still add:

full screen version here

two more versions that are a little sharper, because they are hosted on my server and not the above Mircosoft fuzzy=good enough solution. same as above:
Panorama 1

and a little taller and narrower view:
Panorama 2

Hi I was lucky to spend time with Fish when he was out here , the summer we may get to say Hi, chat for a few minutes but limited quality time . Fish opened his photos and we looked at the quality and things that are available now . Another thing I learned Fish followed the race car circuit for many years taking raceday photos. These are the cars running 200mph + He has hiked the JMT 19 times and knows the backcountry like a local taking many crosscountry trips along the JMT .

OK what I wanted to say check the photo, play with the zoom /pan and image. I can pick up the snow surface condition in the chute above Iceberg All we need now is an actor/actress doing the walk!

PS Fish I bought the router no go sends a signal but can't talk through the other modem on the third floor? It's in the ever building box of electric parts.

I also got the new camera system and have it hooked up just need to have Mike at Sebectec turn on the page, Gov. shutdown created a lot of meeting time last week and now I have an office full of "stuff" I will take back next week and install.

Thanks Doug

Thanks

hmm - you just replaced the router downstairs, same wires in and out as before? Possible that your incoming connection isn't basic DHCP - you may need to configure the IP of the router manually, which puts us back to getting into the old unit via a full reset, so we can load the admin page and see what's going on in there. PM me the model # and I will do some research to find out what we need to do to reset the password. Once that is done we can see how things are configured and replicated that in the new router.

Thanks Fish. Your photo helps us a lot.
We are going to climb East Face on mid/late May, now we add an alternative route, which is east buttress due to the snow condition. Hope snow can melt a lot in the following month.
Thank again for your photo.
