Looks like we will be doing Agassiz this weekend. No Cloudripper this time. Anyone been on Bishop Pass Trail recently? Snow conditons?
Thanks for the help.

Here's some photos from 4th of July weekend.

Mt. Agassiz & Bishop Pass

Hiking up the pass.

Just over the pass.

Crampons and ice were not needed to go over the pass during mid-day. Patches of snow started around the Long Lake area.

Those are some great pictures and your accomplishments are humbling. Very impressive. 4th-5th class rock unprotected?
Thanks, hoping there will be significantly less snow, its been a month.
Awesome!

I was up over Bishop pass this past weekend. There are still some patches of snow heading up the pass, but really nothing to worry about if you stay on the actual trail. Many people were bypassing the trail to hike up the non-steep snow slope, but you have your choice. Once over the pass there is a good amount of snow but it is all in flat areas. Agassiz is pretty much snow free.

Thanks Scott. We are headed up tonight. I'll report back on Monday. Looks like thunderstorms are in the forecast. Little monsoon action this weekend.
