If you want a good laugh, read the reviews....seriously Google, can we move the mountain back to where it belongs?

That's way cool. Mt Whitney is now in Yosemite valley and you can drive right up to the summit on 140! Way to go Google maps!

No, but do not forget your bear bell wink

Definitely not plate tectonics...

Hmmm...appears that Glacier Point is higher than 14k...and the route shorter!

Perhaps a magnetic shift in the granite...

Permit? Shhhh....don't tell the rangers. whistle

Journey well...

Amazing! I guess this means the north and south terminus of the JMT are now in the same place!! Cool! I can get into a one-hour hike of the JMT...

Seriously, I submitted an error report to Google Maps, suggesting they delete the reference, and noting that it already existed in its correct location due west of Lone Pine.

Try this one on Google maps:

Go to maps.google.com
Hit the "get directions" button
Put China as your starting point
Put Taiwan as your ending point
Scroll down to Step 48

Step 48: Swim across the Pacific Ocean

Awesome! Thanks, Google Maps! A refreshing 165K dip in the ocean is just what I need after Step 41 ...

For something a little more sane, get directions from Los Angeles, CA to Honolulu, HI. (The scenic route, but at least you get watercraft---step 13 us a no-brainer, but I do appreciate step 14...)
