Hi Great news . When we went to your talk several things stood out 1.you had the mind control and the push to keep going. This is a model that many should use .Gear and the other items are a corcern but the fire inside a the key. Your clampon training had me in tears and your "I wonder what those black spots on your face were as you came down off the summit"
All we can do is buy the book and tell everyone we know they also need a copy of the book.

Thanks Cindy for the honor to get to know you. You are on the high road 100% of the time . Doug Earlene and the portal crew

Doug,

That is so sweet! You have me in tears! And I have to say that reliving those experiences in order to put them onto paper was, at times, very difficult.

BTW: A portion of the book's proceeds will go to the Vasculitis Foundation for rare disease research smile

Thanks again!

Rick, It was nice to meet you as well.

I am very curious as to how climbers will feel about the book. Please give me your feedback.

Cindy, I love the title because it makes a connection to another woman at high altitude, Julie Tullis and Clouds from Both Sides.

And.....

Your "beyond" makes me think of the first American woman on Everest Stacy Allison's Beyond the Limits.

Love those book titles and your connection.

Harvey

Doc, Thanks! It was tricky for me to write the book so that healthy climbers, regular folks, and people with serious illnesses can all relate to the story.

Harvey, Interesting about the title - I never realized. Thanks for pointing it out.

Finished Cindy's book. It was fantastic. Her strength, determination and toughness is what made her successfully climb the most dangerous mountain with the most extreme conditions with a severe vascular disease. What a strong willed woman. I highly recommend her book!!!!!!
