Does anyone know where I can buy a "I climbed half-dome in a day" t-shirt online? We got to the store just after they closed at 8:15pm. And I guess they don't do online sales?

Guess you have to take a "mental health day" and drive to LP and the WPS to claim your grand prize! grin

Holy crap...my brain cell count dropped again.

I meant Mt Whitney. We did the hike on Wed, Aug 17 along with a ton of other folks. There were probably 40 or so people at the top at around 12:30 pm.

Anyhow, we really wanted T-shirts but, as I said, the portal store was closed.

Send a private request to Doug with all needed information;
size, color, address, bank account & password grin and all that stuff and he Might find it in his heart to hook you up with a shirt.

Or, you could go back & hike it again. If the store isn't open, try the Hostel in town.

SanDi_carol is exactly right. The Hostel is open every day. If no one answers, it's because they are doing laundry, cleaning rooms, etc. They have the t-shirts there as well as the store. But, I agree..... just go up again and get one. I didn't buy mine until after my third summit :-)

Yea, I think Doug outta get going on that one.... you know,

[size:14pt]"I hiked Mt Whitney and it kicked my ass, left me battered, bruised and blistered, but I'll be back!"[/size]

A lot of hikers on Mt Whitney could earn that one. Heck, I'd probably even buy it for for my friends just for putting up with me! Seriously, no shame in that.

I like that one but how about, I blew a hamstring within sight of the Portal Store. Yup, it happened to me.
