I saw that special on Channel 7 and thought it was pretty interesting. I remember when it crashed. Does anyone know about where in the Whitney area it is located?

It is about 2 miles northeast of Mt. Whitney on the other side of Mt. Carillon at 11,770 feet, below Gamblers Special Peak (12,960). The Cleaver at 13,383 feet towers above the location to the west. The site requires cross-country travel and is considered difficult to reach.
