Hi Roads open , store will be open in the morning and will have food next weekend.

A real big Thanks to the Forest Service for working on the water system , We had several breaks and a crew came down from Bishop and repaired the next day and are down again working on another break , This damage was from the winds over the winter.

Too Cool!

Hopefully, JQP is as motivated as me to get down off of the mountain for a visit tomorrow afternoon.

Got any of those cool glacier glasses?

Great Doug looking forward to seeing you on the 28th. Any word on the Horseshoe Meadows road?

Thanks Doug. If possible I like to sleep at Horseshoe Meadows at 10,000 feet the night that I arrive. I don't know if the Indian Army would approve, but that is our tradition.

Hey I thought that was you!

Anybody know about the roads to South Lake, North Lake, and Rock Creek? I can confirm Onion Valley is open. Hiked up to Mount Gould yesterday.

I was in the Bishop Creek area on Saturday 4/21. Roads to Lake Sabrina and South Lake are open. The gate on the road to North Lake was still closed, but it sure looks like the road is usable from below.

Anyone know when they expect to open up Horseshoe Meadow Rd. I was thinking of planning a Memorial Weekend trip with my 2 teenage boys up to Cottonwood Lakes. How's the snow pack been up there this year? Is this too early to plan this 2 day hike? Any info would be much appreciated.
