I like the Live Thread....

The only time I followed you is when you were in Mexico,I enjoyed that.. otherwise I don't care about your tracks,if I dont see a post on this board from you for 15hrs(even when your not hiking) then I know to go to spot cause you must be in trouble grin

my 1/2 cent worth..

I 2nd that! Mark it's pretty impressive what Richard is doing I can't even go to the gym 52 weeks in a row let alone climb a mountain as hard as Whitney 52 weeks in a row. I much rather see pictures than SPOT. I bought SPOT and paid for tracking but probally won't use it again now that I have my Garmin Forerunner.....Great Job RP, see you soon thinking of coming up sometime in July with Shin to climb in Mammoth.....

The plan for today:
Head up the MR to Iceberg.
Cross Whitney Russell
JMT up to the summit
Main Trail home.

Real windy last night but it dropped off. Only a slight breeze now.

---------

Passing LBSL.

----------

That was about 545.
On the way to Iceberg. 0637
COLD!

Not sure we needed a map to figure out where Richard was! I miss the mountain. Next year, starting from somewhere on the PCT.

Hi Richard,
This is a very good idea to show Spot information of your weekly activities. We can see your prgress and your safety.
I am expecting a lot of pictures from Arctic lake area.
Please rest up and upload all pictures when you can.

Jeff,
Which model of the Garmin do you have and why? I've been thinking of getting something like this.
Thanks............steve

Shin, as mountain accountant for RP, have you got mileage stats for the year? Just curious. Must've been cold up there last night!

Hi Richard

Hey I don't think I'll ever get enough of your live thread, but the Spot device has my interest. I was trying to read more about it. Do you use the one that is paired with a smart phone or another model?

Thanks

Carl

I'm using SPOT 2.

BTW: in a few hours, I'm going to heading up Shepherd Pass to OV.

Tracie,
I only keep the records for a human. Richard belongs to the mountains so please contact to Inyo county Department of forestry for animal activities/behavior in the area.
