I'll probably write up a separate report on the body recovery that was going to happen tomorrow if I didn't show up at the Hostel tonight.
Big, sincere apology to those who worried when I didn't show up Saturday night. Another lost phone and malfunctioning Spot (probably due to excessive rime ice build-up), so I had no way to let people know what was going on or that I was relatively OK.
Jeff, I'm probably out of action for a few weeks.
BTW, big thanks to the Alaskan couple who put up with my slow pace on the way down from above Trail Camp.

Well, I guess this qualifies as a “last but not least” kinda thing Richard! I am just so relieved that you made it back safely. Several times yesterday I checked the message board, expecting to see at least a quick note reporting a successful #52, but as the day wore on I became more and more un-easy. Poor Doug, I may have woke him up last night when I called the Hostel, but by then I was really worried. SOO very glad you made it back OK Richard. Rosie

Watching your spot and “Where’s Richard?” had new meaning late Saturday night ... by Sunday morning it was “where the hell is Richard!”
Glad you are ok.

Richard is safely back home... He saw a partial Rainbow near Five Fingers... ... and then a full one across Walker Pass (didn't get a photo of it because it was raining pretty hard). He saw a Coyote run right past his front wheel and watched it streaking off towards the mountains... He can be excused for not getting off of the bike when he saw this at the Walker Pass PCT Trailhead... And saw a quad-lenticular looking cloud as he got back to Ridgecrest...

glad to see you are doing something safe - like riding a motorcycle ! the lenticular picture is cool - stimulated me to look for some more, here is a colorful one at this link - no wonder some were mistaken to be UFOs Lenticulars

So, how many of you thought I had given up climbing? On top of Five Fingers. Almost cracked 160 pounds, which I haven't seen in years!!!!! Shin's a better climber than me now. The heck if I'm going to let him be a stronger hiker !

The heck if I'm going to let him be a stronger hiker ! Richard, and I mean this with the utmost respect!!!!! You are the best "Hiker", "Mountaineer" I know....... But sorry bro I would put money on Shin for climbing. If you think I'm wrong come down to JT! You guys can compete on Top Rope....Shin has dedicated himself to learning how to climb and has gone to gym at least 2 days a week and comes out to JT with us when he can. He just TR'd 2 9's at JT clean that's slab JT Slab..... Yeti

He's up on top of Langley... A bit chilly above 14k... Can someone bring me another puffy... I only carried one light one and was hoping to be able to take a nap up here...
I did the Thompson Couloir/Pass (gonna put a name to this one for Doug before Secure names it after someone else...
I'll know more about the Armies when I head down...
Navy is already out of shape if you want it to be a snow climb...
The B&L Couloir also looked like it is seeing rock/dirt fall...
