Good job Shin. I know that you have really taken an interest in rock climbing. I don't know what 10a's and 10b's are, but I know that whatever you do, you master it! Great job!

Thank you guys for encouragements.
I have a good reason to get better with my new hobby.
I lost a bet with Jeff and Jeff ended up getting a nice free steak dinner from me by hiking up Mt. Baldy less than 1:45.

Jeff and Ryan got me interested in indoor rock climbing in Santa Ana last year. Rick G. offered me a free dinner if I am able to climb a crack in the gym by the end of this year. All right, that was a good enough incentive and motivation to try my best to improve my skills. There are many nice people at the gym and many of them are willing to teach this OLD guy with new tricks.
I have about 6 months to go for my free dinner from Rick G.

According to Rick G., the dinner will be served at the place subject to his financial condition. I hope he has a good credit card. But, I don't care as long as the dinner is free.

Mark, that makes him better than me!

Congrats Shin. I think this is a hobby that you can use to extend your enjoyment of the outdoors for another 10 years. (If you don't know, Shin changes his hobby every 10 years. He is trying real hard to get to 400 Baldy ascents before he needs to change hobbies next year.)(Yeah, I think we all need to start working him to change his plans...)

Great work, Shin! There are some fantastic 5.10 A-D climbs at Suicide in Idlywild, which isn't too far from you, and it's only about a half hour approach from the car.
