So, I was wondering how I missed seeing you on Sunday morning... tan pants and blue parka on the ground at left...

I was asleep! This must have been the same time that those crazy people from AZ were trying to claim Whitney as their's.

Well, we thought we saw light(s) along the saddle between Mallory and LeConte from our camp at Grass Lake that same evening...guess our eyes weren't playing tricks on us after all!! Congrats!!

Haha Richard! You slacker!!!!

Kimba ... Those lights you saw may have been from 2 climbers I passed on LeConte. They were doing a traverse on the Corcoran Ridge. After LeConte they were heading out on the Mallory/LeConte saddle when I last saw them. I didn't use my headlamp till the Lone Pine Peak plateau. Hey btw, I stumbled upon someone's campsite down at Grass Lake around midnight or so. Might have been yours.

Hey Richard ... I was just looking back through old photos for something and stumbled upon another interesting coincindence! Apparently you and I have crossed paths further back than either of us knew. Check out this photo of mine from 2004:

That was the weekend that Larry Urish came to my house, picked me up and covered everything (cost-wise) on the trip. We did a MR->MT loop.

CaT asked to come along, but started running a little slow at UBSL, so I asked him to head down so that Larry and I could get to the summit in a reasonable amount of time.

We made the top at just about 3:00pm.

Another interesting coincidence is that Dan Bishop (CLMRG) is signed in a little above us.

Ya, I saw Dan's entry too. Looks like I summitted at 4:16pm.
