Doing Whitney on Wed 8/22. Curious on the water situation. Heard it has been pretty dry up there. Anyone have reports of good filtering locations that are still good. Saw one post a week ago that said there was still a little bit on the switchbacks?

The spring...which is now "restricted entry."

Water flows at SB 23...no filter required.

There is a little red placard on a stick at the Bighorn Park spring...it was there 07-25-12...it may be "gone" now.

you can see the little restricted entry sign on the stick. But there is still plenty of room to get clean water at this location. You just can't go back further than the stick.
