Congratulations, Kurt I never climbed with Kurt, but I did have dinner with him at another clients house here in Richmond. So by shaking Kurts hand, I have by extension touched the top of the world!

It's funny, we ran into Kurt at Pizza Factory in Bishop the night before he left. He just said he was heading to Indonesia in the morning, but nothing at all about his bid for the 7 Summits. Such a humble guy...

Let me know when you are going to to post your pictures, I look forward to seeing all 2,000 of them. I will have my wife fix me a sandwich, chips and soda before i sit down to view them. Sorry i did not make it over to the 395 this summer, maybe this winter.

Hey Everybody... greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia! I'm getting ready to travel home. Thanks for all the kind comments! Climbing Carstensz Pyramid was an amazing experience and one I'm sure I'll be doing again. Lots of pictures and stories will be coming soon. For the moment here are two pictures to share:  Summit photo on Carstensz Pyramid. The lady next to me is Andrea Cordona who with this summit became the first female from Central America to not only climb the Seven Summits but also complete the Grand Slam, which is all those summits plus reaching the North and South Poles! Next to her is Vanessa who got her 5th of the Seven Summits. On the left is Esther. This was her 2nd of the Seven.  Me with an elder from the Moni tribe on the island of Papua on September 27.
