Trip Report

Betsy and Jack, I did my best to emulate your treks in to see Rob and Laura. Fresh strawberries, arugula, tomatoes and avacado, chardonnay, Macallan scotch, fresh-baked lemon-almond bread, Hungarian bacon. We raised a glass to you both. smile

This trip was a nod to my mom, who asked me a few years ago when she might get to "see" Tuolumne in winter. Many thanks to Rob and Laura Pilewski for organizing the rendezvous, and for treating me to some of the most incredible views yet. This, like EVO Basin or the Ansel Adams Wilderness, might just become an annual adventure.

PS: Rob and Laura are consistently updating the TM winter conditions here.

Thanks, guys. We started skiing around 9000ft on the Tioga Road. Good coverage from there but it was crust over unconsolidated sugar. Even the warm sunny days weren't helping to pack it down. Conditions were about as mixed as it could get, and with the sun, I had to keep reminding myself it was only February!

Enjoy.

It's always a treat to see a Moose Tracks post, and I have yet to be disappointed. Thanks for letting the rest of us live vicariously through your adventures.

Hi Laura,
Reading your trip report and watching your video is the next best thing to being there! Wish we lived closer so we could join you on some of your adventures. Already dreaming of our summer hikes! We are planning on going to Crabtree. Say Hi to Rob and Laura next time you see them. Blessings, Betsy

Aww, Bets! Wish you guys did, too! Hmmm... wonder if there would be such thing as TOO much fun and silliness? wink

Thanks, Dad! You know, Tahoe isn't bad, either!

Love,
L
