Good evening! I'm fishing for some SG beta...

Anyone been up recently? Either the South Fork or Vivian Creek trail? Mid-East chute conditions?

Thanks in advance...

Carine

I'd be interested as well, as there is a chance I could be in the area this coming weekend...

Webcam pic of the north side:

I was up on the summit March 16th - via Vivian Creek. I didn't run into much of any snow until about 10,400', but I didn't stick to the trail between Halfway Camp and 10,400'. There was snow on the north facing slopes along the trail between Halfway Camp and High Creek Camp and then fairly consistent snow from High Creek Camp to the summit if you stuck to the route the trail took. A lot has melted off since the 16th - I'm sure there are a lot of dry patches where there was snow on the 16th.

There is snow in the lower parts of the chutes on the north side, but the top parts are melted out.

Hello All.

I plan on going up the 14th via the Vivien Creek Trail and just puttering around for two nights-trying out some new boots and gear, if anyone else will be around...

Susan.

WOW! Kathy that looks as bear as I've ever seen it in March, ever....
Going to by a very dry year.
