Hello friends:
I have a group of 7 hitting the trail next weekend. I'm curious to know if crampons should be taken. Is there any snow on the trail? Thanks!

Are you dates over Memorial weekend or the weekend after?

Please answer for both! Many folks are trolling for the most recent info on current conditions, myself included...I'm with some folks going up Memorial Day weekend so any beta is appreciated.

My group is going up over the Memorial Day weekend, so I will have info on Tuesday for those going the week after. I am trolling now as well!

Hi it would be best to have all the gear you need for snow and ice . We are in the beast now people with high skill levels full mountaineering experience can do the trail/chute without crampons .Most hikers are reaching the cable area and turning back . We are having wind and cloud cover so expect the slopes to ice during the day. Very little snow to trail camp and up the first 15-20 switch backs .Postholing below the chute if you miss the early morning crust. Many permits open the next few weeks I would wait until the trail clears !!!!

Thx, Doug! Memorial Day weekend only comes once a year, so please put a burger on for me.
