From the death of one, to the life of another. Perhaps one of the more difficult TR's I've ever written...

Laura

Thank you for honoring Randy and Pat.

I hope in some small way that your thoughts and words are helpful for you as you grieve. It was touching . Keep going, and keep writing.

Thanks, all. It was cathartic to get this down and "out" of my system. May we all never stop learning.

And, Harvey: I promise to keep going as long as I can.

Laura:
When was this? Last month (to be precise on Aug 19), we stayed in the Muir hut when there was a severe weather front. We did not see any backpacks either inside or outside the hut. So Randy made it all the way to Bishop's pass and did not find your car may be? Lets be hopeful!

Krishna, this was just over Labor Day weekend. I ended up exiting on Saturday, two days early, because I just couldn't handle being back there, alone, anymore at the moment. I had a very relaxed and easy weekend these past two days, fishing at Horton Lake and reading Doug Robinson's book, A Night On The Ground, A Day In The Open . I think I'll be ready to get back after again soon...

Cheers,
L
