I hadn't realized that it was the feds who supplied the Store with the bear cans and wagbags. If that's accurate, it is not only a tribute to Doug and Earlene, but very telling about what the effective policy is during the shutdown. At least, If I had a Whitney trip planned for the next coupla weeks, that's all I would need to know. Thanks again, Doug & Erleene, just for being there

I would be asking for my money back after basking in the cool air on the summit. And great PR and publicity to the WP Store.

Recreation.gov is issuing full refunds for campground reservations for dates during the shutdown. But what about wilderness permit reservation fees? Are they getting refunds too?
