Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd start a new thread for discussion of a possible group hike to the Bridge to Nowhere, just north of Azusa in the Mt. Baldy region. We discussed this on the last group hike and there was quite a bit of interest so I want to get a thread going for planning purposes. It's never too early to plan. wink

Rosie provided some links to detailed info on the hike, as well as the bungee jump option at the bridge. (Thanks, Rosie!)

The best time (in my opinion) to do this hike is in late spring where water flow is the best. The last time I did this hike was in April 2011 after a great rainy season and the water was really high, which means FUN!

Here is the link to my photo album from that adventure:
Bridge to Nowhere - April 2011

I hope we can make this happen. smile

Hike on!

I'm in! Thanks for following up!

Also hoping for a winter Baldy Bowl climb. I've never climbed Baldy via the Bowl. Surely Shin's 1000 climb is coming up soon? wink

I like this! ...and if we went to the peak near Barstow, we could possibly work in an excursion to the Trilobite deposit in Amboy the day before or after, if anyone's interested. I went to Amboy with my High School Science Club to dig trilobites (I know, what a nerd!)... but it was pretty cool!

I like both ideas. As a geologist Trilobites are great and there is gold near the bridge to nowhere. Can't loose
