A group of 3 of us did the trail on 6/27. Hoped to get to Mt Mallory and Irvine but turned around at Meysan Lake, in part due to safety concern (avalanches on south side of lake, below LeConte) but also exhaustion. Trail was in good condition, easy to follow, only area we had to guess on the route was between Camp Lake and Meysan. Ended up going toward north side instead of south. No snow except in very small patch by Meysan, which you could get around. Left trailhead at 3:15am, hit Grass Lake around 6:30 and Camp Lake a few minutes later. Mosquitoes abound just before Grass Lake so bring repellant. Hit Meysan Lake at 7:20. Warm to start (low 60s) but it got cooler as we went up, kept long sleeve and gloves on entire time, probably 40s at Meysan, so I would guess it is getting a bit cooler by now. Very enjoyable route, but for miles 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 which is quite steep. Good luck!
