Brian, Talus and I will be driving up early Saturday morning. Brian had a difficult time getting to Lone Pine Lake this summer, so I think we will just stick with a sissy hike to the Ashram and meet everyone later for the potluck. I'm bringing cookies. Looking forward to seeing everyone! Even Richard grin

Oy vey, that's a horse of a different color. In that case, I will meet up with y'all on the way down.

Edited to add: If anyone is interested in doing the MR, I'll be heading up at 6:00am (on the old trail) taking a couple of newbies.

Perhaps....but Brian can't eat nuts so maybe another kind. Maybe I'll just bring a jar of pickles!

I've got some things I need to get done at home tomorrow and it sounds like there isn't any interest in a little more adventure.

Have a good time on the hike. If I finish up, I try and get up to Lone Pine for the dinner.

I am confused!

Where are we meeting and when?

I am in Bishop for the night. I'll check again in the morning.

Thanks!

You should go to the ranch, which was the original plan.

Sorry about the confusion.

So I am going to say the obvious: it is really tough to change things last minute on folks who are driving 275 miles.

But I'm in. I miss you all. Including you, Richard. It's been awhile.

Okay I'll go to the ranch. Doug don't leave without me please.

Some day I'll tell the story about the Beginning of the Group Hikes/Climbs... They definitely morphed away from that...

Have a good time everybody.

Won't make the day hike - had a minor surgery yesterday. But I will be there for the Potluck. Looking forward to seeing everybody.

Seems to me that a group hike is whatever the folks who choose to participate make it.

I just arrived in LP. Driving to the ranch now.

I am a fair weather hiker. The high wind warning above 5000 feet in the Eastern Sierras have caused me to be a no-show today. Hope the weather folks are wrong and you all have a great day.

....which is why I gave up years ago allowing other people to make my plans when I was going to be hauling in from 300+ miles.

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.
