Has anyone fished Lone Pine Lake lately? Is it froze over? I was thinking of doing a little fishing Dec26,27 and need some input. Thanks Dave

Dave I fished Lone Pine Lake last September and had great luck. I caught and released many 6-8" Golden Trout. Great time. I know that a Sept. trip won't help you with the conditions now but at least you know there are fish.

I didn't get a close up view but on 12/13 it appeared that it was iced over pretty good. If you enlarge the picture below you can get a glimpse from above.

You guys might want to check the DGF regs. I think the fishing season is closed up there.

Dave, even if the season is closed at Lone Pine Lake you can still fish at Diaz Lake or Lower Owens River.
