Went up the Baxter Pass trail to climb Black Mountain and Diamond Peak. Snow started in earnest at 10,200' on the northern aspects and nothing on the southern aspects. The snow up to Black was in good shape and there is zero snow going up to Diamond.

The burnt out part of the trail

Looking southwest at Glen Pass and Mt. Brewer area peaks

Looking north at a whole lot of dry southerly facing peaks

Great pix. Thanks for sharing these. It looks like a few of them didn't post correctly at the bottom. Any way to fix that?

I checked out all the photos you posted at: http://calicokat.smugmug.com/Hiking/Sier...0&k=bSWFQFJ

Nice job! Diamond must not have been a lot of fun without snow. My memory of Diamond is one of a perfect snow climb done in late May a few years back, but those pictures tell a different story and it is only April. Thanks for sharing the photos - they help to get an idea of conditions in that area.
