What would you like to see on the menu for 2016.

I vote for Chicken Caesar Salad.

Maybe the Portal crew will get a laugh!!!

I like that option (or a Caesar salad side option instead of fries). Also grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado sandwich. And mashed potatoes! Apple pie?

A bigger pancake. (So you can chew a hole in the middle and wear it like a poncho.)

A Chicken Salad was on the menu some years ago. It was good and quite large, but still was no match for the pancake. I got the feeling that I was one of the few customers ordering it regularly.

Still, after a day on the Mountain, I really look forward to the double cheeseburger (and either coffee or beer, depending whether or not I am immediately driving back home).

Keep it simple, please.

The uncultured yahoo when he gives a feast (and I prefer it his way) merely increases the amount of the ordinary meal…but civilized people…like to measure their social status by the number and variety of the courses, which I consider a barbaric habit.

So one week this summer we served over 1100 CB many with bacon. Towards the end of the season we came up with a change for next season Three open face sandwiches one a rib eye, a pork tenderloin and the standard chicken breast with swiss and ortega chili. And a salad with each , also offer the salad with several options.

Since it looks like we will have many people hanging around till the road opens during the day this will allow us to add the time to make these changes since they require more time to serve.

Those all sound fantastic Doug! I'm sure you'll get a lot of takers with those. Another thing I'd suggest is adding bison burgers smile.

And your choice of table-side Baked Alaska or Cherries Jubilee. (I can't wait to see what kind of hat Myles will have to wear for that...)

How about some local fare? Golden trout, grouse, marmot, elk, Miner's lettuce, etc...

Since Doug once lived in Colorado he must be familiar with the famous Alferd Packer stew.

Hi C The rule established after the mining trips was never bring back Jerky. If I recall School of Mines Dining Hall was named after Packer.

Last summer the subject came up and a person from Colo. says the story has changed some ,only one trip into the mountains and he may have tried to help the party???

As a Boulder alum l can testify that the student eatery at UC was named The Alferd Packer Restaurant and Grill. If Mines had one too that would be a flagrant case of copy-catism. (Note, that is the correct spelling of Packer's first name.)

That reminds me - let's have bear on the menu, too. And, of course, I'll want gremolada to accompany my oso-buco.
