Over the years, I have used the emergency room for my daughter when she accidentally touched the fire-pit ring.

Sierra Wave article says, "The hospital is taking steps to resolve a government reimbursement schedule that lags dangerously behind costs and program requirements.'

My Translation: not enough paying customers (or their insurance or Medicare/Medicaid), and/or lagging billing, and especially too many regulations from the government.

Some regulations are necessary and good, but, and I am not making this up, did you know that light switches even in operating rooms are required to have braille symbols? The patients are on gurneys so that must be for the blind surgeons!

Harvey is correct, add several other elements , Board and Admin problem facing the changing rules.And the decline of population in the area that trust the care given.

Hello Harvey. Instead of a simple rule that says all light switches must have Braille characters would you prefer one that said, "All light switches must have Braille characters except those in operating rooms, bus operator assembly rooms, police department firearms training areas, etc. etc. etc. with exceptions listed ad infinitum? And the exceptions subject to endless dispute by the mobilized disability community. There are certainly silly gummint regulations but in this case l think a little silliness is better than a ream of exceptions.
