A friend of mine and I are planning a four-day backpack trip in a few weeks out of the Cottonwood Lakes trailhead. We plan on going over Cottonwood Pass and camping at Chicken Springs Lake and then Solder Lake. After that, we plan on heading over New Army Pass then down to the Cottonwood Lakes for our final night before returning to the trailhead. My question is has anyone been over New Army Pass recently so to be able to provide a report as to any possible snow this late in the season. Thank you. Big Whitney Mike
