Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Ride sharing options to/from LA

I was wondering if there are boards to sign up for sharing rides from to the big cities to Lone Pine? I will need a ride back to the LA area on Tuesday night or Wednesday early morning, since my family will be continuing north to SF. Happy to pay for all the gas.

If you can't find anyone to share a ride there's public transportation:

Eastern Sierra Transit goes to Lancaster. From Lancaster you can take Metrolink to many destinations in the LA basin including LAX, Burbank and other airports. Both of those should be clickable links to their web pages.

I used ESTA and Metrolink to get to Burbank airport when I did the High Sierra Trail. Worked like a charm.
