The last gate to the trailhead is open now , No Water yet but should be sometime early next week.

Very warm in the Portal yesterday but watch for rocks on the road and above the portal still snow covered trail and with the warm temps we could see rock fall and wet slides. It is still winter mountaineering season, Don't get tricked by this warm spell! And don't just follow tracks if you don't know where they are heading, this in the past has caused fatal accidents.

Now the bear talk , keep everything away from the bears , YOU control the bear problem for the season .... If the bears can't get food in the Portal they leave in search of food . So it is critical to keep your food safe and the bears not getting shot during the summer.
