Try this if you need a permit.

I just snagged an overnighter for 3 for the 17th. and I know someone else who snagged a 5 person overnighter for the 18th today.

We both were using outdoorstatus dot com.

I think the closure of Lone Pine Campground may have caused a few permit cancelations.

Just throwing this out there hoping it helps someone out.

This service is very close to offering permits which may not be legal . I understand they will email you when a permit is open then you go to Rec.gov and see if you can get it.

Say I live in the core of a large city , unemployment is 42 % I can't get a credit card , I don't have a computer and they burnt the libary down during the last period of unrest. How would I get a permit?

The FS NEEDS to bring back the walk-in permit process...

Just after complaining about Walk-ins, a permit for the 15th shows up on Rec.gov...hopefully I'll get down in time for a burger...
