Big Fan of Dan and Rachel's picturesque youtube videos. Thank you Paul, for posting. May be totally wrong but from their Piute Pass video, it appears that a replacement bridge over the San Joaquin River is up. Could this be?

I am aware Rachel and Dan went out over Bishop Pass and then back up over Piute (because -- as referenced in a previous post) they heard the crossing was too treacherous. But at the end of today's video, I could not help but notice the bridge.

Have a NOBO JMT pass for entry on 7/15/24, so the status of the bridge is of tremendous consequence. Any updates would be greatly appreciated. Thnx, k

Thank you! Think I confused the bridge over Piute Creek (the one shown in their video) with the downed bridge over the San Joaquin South Forth. Plan to head over Piute and down to the JMT on 6/26, to check it out and assess whether reports of crossing approx. .1 mile downstream are accurate. Thank you again for the information and posts of Rachel and Dan's trip. They seem like really nice people.
