The station had a long outage a while back due to some sort of technical problems. It looks like it happened again.

Each time I look at the White Mountain chart, there is never any indication of precipitation. Does this line on the chart account for only rain or does it also include snow? If you looked at the chart one would conclude that it is clear of snow, but by now I imagine this is highly unlikely based on all the snow in the Sierras. Can anyone in Bishop or nearby areas look out the window and see if White mountain has snow? I can't see it from Bakersfield. I've wanted to climb it, but not if its snow covered.

Man that is a great picture of White Mt. I have a friend in Bear Valley lifts. He claims they have 85" of the white stuff at 9,000ft. He tells me that Mammoth also has well over 8ft too. Also, since they have been keeping snow fall depths, this is the most snow fall in recorded HX for a October. Lots of snow folks!

On 9/18 the folks at Barcroft said that they were heading out before November. So, I would guess they are gone now and the info won't be updated until around May - same thing happened last year. I summited on 9/18 also - some pics are here:
