Patrick was that you who gave me the safety pin to fix my sunglasses? That was a real lifesaver, or eyesaver anyway. It worked like a charm, no problems the rest of the weekend.
BJ: Thanks for the pics; I'm doing MWT in July and was thinking I might get stopped at the cables; now looks like it may be cleared in another 30-40 days. Don....
Looking at the Snow Water Content graphs it appears that the snow pack is at normal for this time of year but I also have to believe that some of the north facing slopes and heavier accumulation areas are a week to ten days behind the melt represented by the graphs. Current temperature trends are favorable to more accelerated melting. Welcome any comments from those closer to the mountain than me.
Tack I'll probably be leaving pretty early in the a.m. but I'll keep in touch. I read this message board a lot so keep your eyes open. There's also a chance that I'll have 2 extra permits if anyone is interested. Not for sure but a chance.
