Kent Ashcraft posted these photos of his trip up the Mountaineers route the past few days.
Without crampons his route up to Iceberg lake and above was an interesting one, trying to stay out of the snow as much as possible.

He also ran across a single small tree up in the lower Morraine field above Barney lake. All these years we thought the grove of trees just below Upper Boy Scout Lake was the highest in the North Fork.
