I'm in ! I'm in !! I'm in !!!

I got my Mt Whitney main trail confirmation letter today.

I got pulled for my first choice, July 12th thru 15th, for two people.

We are planning to spend a night on the Summit.

Good luck to those that haven't heard from the permit people yet.

I hope to see you on the Mountain!!

Randy S, I'll say HI on the way out, as you are headed up.

Permit arrived in the mail over the weekend. First choice - WMT Day trip 1st Friday in August. Lottery process works fine (at least 4 me). Try to beat last years time of 13+ hrs. Not bad for an 'old' guy (57 yrs)!

Add another to the yes list - even with an error in my CC #. The team was nice enough to call and get a correction from me. Nice to know even with the amount of work to sort through the permits they don't just toss the apps with typos in the trash. June 22nd. Will be interesting to see what kind of shape the trail is in by then.

Card hit this morning! Now I can quit going on-line every morning to check...and start thinking about which ultralight gear I will buy to make this year's trip a little easier.

Count me among the unlucky. Still no CC charge or notice. I did everything right; Feb 1st mailing, confirmed receipt, many alternate dates, one night for three people. <sigh>

I am amongst the worried. Sent mine in early Feb. ,only asked for a permit for 2,requested many alt dates mostly mid-week and then said I'll accept any 1 nite 2 day trip from June-Sept.Still no cashed check. Should some of us worry or is it still early in the lottery process? I will definately walk up if I don't get a permit.

MC: You're on, baby! Consider the calendar marked!

I haven't heard a darn thing yet, and mine was for only me! I put a big note on it, too, that it would be for the HST primarily! Oh well: I'll keep my fingers crossed!
