Here's a good one. I sent my application in on Feb. 1. I waited and waited with no hit on the cc. So,last Thursday I had an appointment with my orthopedic doctor who says it is time for an artificial knee. I knew it was coming for a long time, and a good 6 weeks is needed for the rehab work. I have the time this summer so I schedule surgery for June 26. And guess what? Monday I got my permit in th email, two slots for July 27. I have gotten five permits over the past six years, with four summits. There will be two day passes for July 27 at the ranger station that will not be picked up in case anyone is interested in a long day hike. See you on the mountain next year!
