I was looking at the new (Mar 26th) edition of Business Week. It has an article on Executive Life Vacations titled Celestial Sightseeing. It has two photos, one of the Aurora Borealis and another of a comet streaking over what appears to be Mt Whitney. The photo caption states that tour groups can go "... to places like Libya, Russia, or even the North Pole to gaze upon such marvels as (from left) the Aurora Borealis or comets." There is no mention of Whitney in the article.

Probably a good thing. They'd probably want to put in a (deluxe) tram to the top, maybe a restaurant and hotel. 8^)

In the online version of that issue, I saw the aurora picture, but none of the 10 other pictures from the "Celestial" article seemed to show Whitney or even the Sierra. Perhaps the hard print version has different pictures? Here is the link to the 11 photos from the online version of that article.

However ... in the same issue, but in a different article about "green" cars, where does it look like this picture was shot? By the way, the car is a Chevrolet Volt.

Or maybe a skywalk going out over the side of Whitney?

I hope Chevy makes that Volt concept into a production vehicle.

BTW, in the picture of the Volt, it looks like Mt. Ritter and Mt. Banner on the right. Anyone else think so?

I saw an ad on TV last night for Bayer aspirin that for about 2-3 seconds, had the east slope of the Sierra, with Whitney in the center, as the background!
