Hi, our group is hiking from crescent meadow in the sequoia up whitney and to lone pine... We have no idea what the weather is going to be like. Should we expect rain??? Lightning? Bears? oh my!!
Also, where are the water spots? Should we bring excess conainers, or will three each be ok?
Any reply welcomed. thx Joy

Joy, you really, really, REALLY need to have someone look for the hundreds of trip reports online that describe what you need, and read relevant guidebooks. Someone in your group REALLY needs to be able to read a topo map to determine water locations, as well. You need to be prepared for any weather, you could even encounter snow.

g'luck!

joy, you haven't mentioned when your planned trip is.

Most of the relevent information would be based on the time of your hike.

Another good question would be have you acquired the required permits?
