Does anyone have any information on the MR?
Does the collier still have snow/ice?
Is it icy or snowy above the notch?
Are the mosquitos still out at upper boy scout lake?
Do you need an ice axe? Crampons?
What is the cube route of 13?
Thanks for any help.

Of the several questions you asked the only answer I can give you is that the Cube root of 13 = 3.6056

Cube root of 13 is more like 2.35 or so.
2 weeks ago not much snow, but not totally clear either.
I did not run into bugs a lower bs lake. I bypassed upper.
I did not use axe or crampons but conditions change rapidly with shortening days and everyone has their own style and route.

Did MR yesterday 9/17. Left UBSL 500, arrived top 9:40 to see helicopter lift toilet away for good. 45 degrees and calm. gorgeous.

insignicant amounts of ice in gulley, although temps at UBSL below freezing at night. Water filter froze up. Glad that fatal winds (60+ over the crest) of recent days were gone.

Still some snow above notch. Following gentler contour line to the backside is still under snow and there are footprints in the snow there. Didn't check conditions except visually. Would require protection when icy, or, wisely, always.

Climbing up the chutes to the right is completely snow-free, still some snow to the left.

Did not take or need ax or crampons.

No skeeters, only mice at UBSL

This advice good only for yesterday.
