I posted an East Buttress plan earlier, but little response. I think it was the dates. I am flexible, and would like to get back up Whitney, but as I said earlier, my partner moved to Germany! I am looking for a solid climber to get up there with me. Is there either an individual or a group of 3 who would like to go up the East Buttress route sometime in June??? Pref is the weekend of the 9, 10th, but another time will do also.

Matt, I replied to your PM regarding hooking up for the East Buttress.

With all due respect to the other users on this board, most are hikers and peak baggers not many technical rock climbers on here (as far as I can tell). If we can't hook up and do the East Buttress you may want to try Plans and Partners on summitpost.org or post up for partners on rockclimbing.com. I don't know if you've tried that yet or not.

BTW, I'm also flexible as far as dates are concerned but would prefer earlier than later.

Tim

My friend and I will be leaving the main whitney trail on June 5th for an overnight hike. We will stay at trail camp on the night of the 5th, then head up to the summit early on the 6th and back down before the Chute freezes up on us (if the swtichbacks are in good shape we might use those, we will keep our options open). We will then pack up camp and head back down.

I got our overnight hike passes today and there are still some available for the 5th of June. Let me know if you need any additional info.

Joe
