Hi all- We were hiking on the MR yesterday 7-1-07 and somewhere between the waterfall below the ledges and the parking lot we lost our camera. We had just been up to Mt Russel for the first time and took some cool pictures-we are bummed! If anyone finds it let me know.

PS- it was nice to run into Bob R on the trail-he is an inspiration!

bbinsd- sorry, we didn't see a camera. Someone else lost a camera between trailcrest and the summit too.

I think you passed us just below iceberg lake. We were a party of 3, were you 2?

Lance-not us you ran into below Iceberg lake-we headed up to Russel-Carillon just past Clyde meadows at about 6am.-we didn't see anyone else on the trail until we ran into Bob R. at LBSL on our way down.
I guess we'll have to wait to see our pictures when Bob R. posts them. Hmmmm....what else was on that camera???

Tomcat-thanks for your offer to look. We actually lost the camera on the way down. We stopped at the waterfall just below the E-ledges. I took the camera out of one pocket and put it in another because I wanted to dunk my head in the waterfall. We continued on down the route the goes along the ledges on the north side of the creek (we did not cross to the south side of the creek which is the normal route). If you happen to be going down that way you may find it as that is not the most travelled route. We parked in the lower parking lot right at the trailhead and it may have fallen out there as well. It would be great if you would have a look on your way down. We will be up again next week-end to look as well.
Thanks Barb

Barb - you are right that not many people stay on the north side of the trail - so I will alert Snow Nymph and we will keep an eye out for it tomorrow. we are going to try Thor via the class III rocks above Girl Scout Lake and maybe come down via SE colour.
